As activity of “Expansion and Improvement of Solar Water Heating Technology in China”, Training Workshop for  SWH integrated with building was held in Lijiang,Yunnan Province from September 20 to 21, 2004. The workshop was hosted byEnergy Bureau, National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and Department of Standards and Norms, Ministry of Construction (MOC), and sponsored by United Nation Foundation, and  organized by PMO and Chinese Renewable Energy Industries Association (CREIA).

The training workshop was designed based on the requirement of the project implementation.  The purpose of the  workshop is to help the participants to solve the technical problems in this stage of project implementation and SWH industry development. Compare to the Dissemination workshop, this Training workshop aim to the solar  thermal engineers and technical topic, the dissemination workshop aim to the user and dissemination topic.

Based on the development of SWH in China, associated with international advanced experience, there are three topics, including 1) solar nergy resource data & evaluation and application on design software, 2) introduction and discussion of “Technical code for solar water heating systems in civil building” (solicit draft), and 3) application  and design of SWH integrated with building. Focus on the topics shown above, participants discussed wormly. The training workshop helped SWH engineers to learn more knowledge and requirement about architects and end user.herefore, they can design more and better products which are fit to integrating with buildings.

More than 40 participants from relative units participant in the training workshop, including Energy Bureau of NDRC, Chinese Renewable Energy Industries Association; China Rural Energy Industry Association, Shandong Himin Solar Energy Group, Beijing Tsinghua Solar Company,Shandong Linuo Paradigma Solar Energy, Shandong Sun Rain Company, Tianjin Qixin Solar Energy Technical Company, Yangzhou Saiensi Technology Development Co.,Ltd, Beijing Sunpu Sunshine Technical Company, Beijing Ninesun Industry, Yunnan Kunming  Xinyuan Sunshine Sci-tech Co.,Ltd, Yunnan Yuxi Tongle Solar Energy Co.,Ltd, and Fujian Sanming Juguang Solar Energy Company, etc..
